As a business we are continually audited and reviewed by third parties, covering different areas of the business, ensuring you receive the excellent standards that FTG expect.

bsi ISO 9001:2015
We chose to pursue this world renowned accreditation to evidence our confidence in how well FTG Ltd is managed. We could use phrases like small & mighty etc but we prefer to back claims up with hard evidence and this accreditation is respected throughout the world. We also chose the BSI so that we could hold ourselves to account with one of the most respected and recognised standards institutions in the world. We are audited rigorously every year.

This respected electrical accreditation was just a given for us since smoke ventilation and electrical knowledge go hand in hand. We are subject to annual assessments to ensure our accreditation remains valid.

Smoke Control Association
This is, in our opinion, the superior trade body to be members of. Each and every member is assessed for suitability of membership and FTG is always happy to stand up and be counted. The organisation is transparent and you can easily search their website to find a competent company to suit your needs. They provide us with all the legal updates to ensure we are always operating within the current legislation but also industry best practice. The organisations comprises some of the most skilled and competent people who also sit on panels influencing government and best practice bodies like the BSI. Paul Goldsmith sits on the Executive Committee of the SCA and is regularly asked to contribute his knowledge.

FTG is certified as an installer of active fire protection. We can be found on the IFC website. This is a significant accreditation because it evidences that we install our projects using recognised equipment and to a recognised standard. We are audited by industry professional each and every year to ensure we maintain the very highest of standards. As a result we can provide declarations of conformity for our installation projects which gives you the assurance you seek.

Investors in the Environment
FTG is working towards Bronze level for this environmental accreditation. We have, for many years, quietly completed many environmentally sound policies and practices both personal and professionally. It was Jayne Goldsmith’s interest in the environment and her joining the Sustainability Basics course through Small Business Britain & Hertfordshire Growth Hub that sign posted her to this organisation. Investors in the environment have been helpful in us working towards setting a baseline and taking us forward though each step.
CHAS
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is a well known and respected health and safety accreditation in the construction industry. We have been accredited for several years and continue to review and improve our health and safety processes to keep up to date. Our processes are re-assessed every year, giving our clients confidence that we meet our health and safety obligations at all times.

Constructionline (Gold)
Our Gold level membership means we are exceeding the requirements of PAS-91 and meeting the Common Assessment Standards, giving contractors confidence that our processes, insurance, policies, documentation and social values are meeting the high standards we expect from ourselves. Constructionline Gold covers areas such as equal opportunities, environmental management and corporate and social responsibility.
